Jacob O'Connor, in his capacity as an intern, shows initiative and a willingness to take on new responsibilities. He consistently strives to exceed expectations and make meaningful contributions to the team.
Jacob works as an intern with Voices of Change 2018. He is currently attending Walsh University, majoring in Government and Foreign Affairs.
Jacob was diagnosed at a very early age on the autism spectrum. Fortunately, he was both on the higher-functioning end of the spectrum and blessed with parents who could handle the challenges of raising him.
When Jacob was approached to assist Voices of Change 2018, he saw what the organization could do to help those less fortunate than himself, such as those with more intrusive disabilities, those in less supportive environments, and those who have been taken advantage of because of their differences. He hopes that his time volunteering with Voices of Change 2018 will help make a positive difference in these people's lives.
